I would have abstained other wise. I do not think Obama or McCain should be President, and I do not vote for people who I think that way about. I will not be voting for someone I dont know much about. I will vote for someone who's name may not be on the ballot but would make a good President.

Our election system is messed, primarily due to the stupidity of the voters.

2. Are you a Dem, a Rep, a switch voter (i.e was Dem now Rep), intent on some other ticket, or are you abstaining?
I'm a swing voter though I have mostly conservative and some Libertarian thoughts, after finding out the last few months that this Country is Socialist and becoming more and more Socialist regardless of whom is elected in this prez election--I will vote McCain, for he will ease in more Socialism.

Why not. I don't see either of these men as inherently evil wanting to do harm to their country. I read John McCain's book and have followed Obama throughout this whole election cycle. I admire both men for doing what they're doing or trying to do. Unfortunately they're both going to be handed a big shit sandwich and they will definately stray from their campaign promises in the name of compromise to try and fix things. On Nov. 4th I'm going to go and vote, go home, have dinner, watch the returns, and see if there's a winner by the time I go to bed. If not I'll find out the next morning. Then I'm going to get up, shit, shower and shave and go to work, like I've always done since the day after my first election in 1976.

Despite the fact I enjoy talking about politics, current events and issues, I can't seem to get totally over the top like the world is coming to an end. I have more faith in the American people than some, I guess. I'm sure some people are going to need a strong Quaalude suppository to loosen up those sphincter muscles after we find out who won. I know some who might need it now.

Good Luck and Godspeed to both. They'll need it

Well said. I hope whoever wins, doesnt change the country in such a way, that you no longer have that freedom.
