If I had to guess many of these guys probably did start out with a similar stance on the issues that are much more moderate but realized that being hard core and loud mouthed gets ratings and they probably mentally adjust to the extreme to make sure they never slip up publicly and are more convincing.

In "Bowling For Columbine", Moore would have us believe that someone could walk into a bank, open a bank account, and walk out with a gun.

That doesn't even begin to touch the outer reaches of the truth.

He staged an event at North Country Bank and Trust in Traverse City, Michigan. Moore said that opening an account would entitle one to walk out of the bank with a gun in hand.

The truth of the matter is that the bank did not give you a gun for simply opening an account.

The gun was one of several "giveaways" that customers could choose in exchange for opening a CD with at least five grand. Then they had to pass a background check for the gun. Then, and only then, would they be able to go to a licensed firearms dealer to pick up the gun.

Moore would have you think that kids could go in with their paper route money, open a savings account, and walk out of the bank heavily armed. Of course, Moore ignored the facts, and never mentioned the amount required or the type of account required. It wouldn't serve his purpose to be truthful.

In my eyes, that doesn't even qualify as artistic license or a simple bending of the truth. It's an outright fucking lie. I have no doubt, though, that you'll now submit some pathetically structured excuse to explain how that, somehow, isn't a lie...

Actually I just remembered the most appalling hack I've seen and its form the left so in the interest of true objectivity I have no choice but to take back my previous statement about the right being worse. The most appalling hack was Jane Fonda who went to Viet Nam and sat being a Viet Cong gun and hoped she'd see a US plane flying through the sights.

But to get back to the Moore vs Coulter nonsense I'll let these quotes speak for temselves.

well if we're talking about who's the bigger hacks seems to me it's meaningful to talk about who engages in more outright hate speech. and where that's concerned it's obvious that coulter, limbaugh, hannity and don't forget michael savage basically do so without any restraint or propriety.
