This is why I said he could be misleading in the sense that the timeline of obtaining the gun might not be portrayed as accurate. This is not a lie by any means because the fact remains you can still get a gun by opening a bank account.

Completely false Danny. You have to get the gun through the same channels as anyone else. The fact remains that just opening an account does not get you a gun on any level you can fabricate. Besides the fact that you needed $5K to even have the opportunity was conveniently left out just smacks of typical Moore dishonesty.

I made the thread to gather different view points on a topic I had thought of so I will read your post and report back. Should it be credible and for the first time demonstrate an outright lie by Michale Moore I'll adjust my position accordingly (something that I must admit I never see anyone else doing).



I've disproved your post that Moore lied. I admit it can be misleading but its all in how you interpret it. Moore never says anything that is factually inaccurate but leaving out facts that might help the situation be put into perspective qualifies him to be a top level hack. I'll concede this.

That's quite dishonest. He took a letter to the editor about how the recount showed Gore won and changed the font to make it look like a title to an article. Its very misleading but I'd have to watch the film again to see if he actually said "the paper reported that..." or if the image just flashed on the screen during the movie in which case I think we are grasping for straws here.

He did more that "change the font". He changed the entire representation of the piece. The picture from Moore's movie (which is right there on the page I linked) clearly presents the title of the opinion letter as a newspaper headline.

Regardless of whether Moore says anything, the image is a fabrication. The headline never ran in the paper. The article he shows a picture of never existed.

Moore lied.

people? like who? and it'd be interesting to find out who gets more media coverage. i couldn't tell you the last time i saw moore on the news but i can't turn around without seeing limbaugh or coulter. they definitely get treated as though they were serious commentators so i'm not sure where you're coming from with this.
