All republicans are pro-big gov't. There hasn't been a single national-level republican in memory who ever actually shrank the federal gov't, or worked to that effect in any meaningful manner.

Speaking of Knuters... I watched Olbermann and Maddow last night (more so for comical value than anything)...

He must have been the other person that was watching them last night. It was like Knuters was on TV. I could just imagine him jotting down all the stuff they were saying just so he could post it here.
