All republicans are pro-big gov't. There hasn't been a single national-level republican in memory who ever actually shrank the federal gov't, or worked to that effect in any meaningful manner.

That, and she had the approval of the NRA.

Don't count your chickens, Hoss.

I'm a Republican, and I'm not for Big Government, and none of my best friends are. Therefore, you're making broad assumptions based upon your bigoted viewpoint.

If Owens votes to curb gun rights, then maybe you've got a point. I don't know any Blue Dogs that are that stupid, but there may be a few.

My branch of the GOP doesn't raise chickens: who whine and cry when the polls go against them, drop out and endorse the Dem.

Of course you are, but I specifically indicated ones elected at a national level.

The GOP doesn't do anything but grow the size, scope, power and cost of the gov't. I'm surprised you can't see that and continue to identify with them.

No choice. It's either vote Republican or vote Socialist. But you're wrong, Newt Gingrich decreased the rate of growth of the Federal Government, in proportion to the GDP, which is the only measurement that is meaningful.

No, that's an utterly false choice; this isn't an either/or situation, and, again, given what the Republicans have done since Reagan, they personify this 'socialism' you're talking about.

Ah, so you've found an exception that proves the rule. Go ahead and cite where he did that.

"Might"?

Hehehehehe... You just hit the dishonesty trifecta. There's no "might" to it.

What's funny is how easy it was to prove that you were being untruthful...

Re: NY-23 House Race (merger)

This was funny.

Quote:
Pelosi's answer: "From my perspective, we won last night. We had one race that we were engaged in -- it was in northern New York. It was a race where a Republican has held a seat since the Civil War, and we won that seat. So from our standpoint, no. We had a candidate that was victorious who supports the health-care reform... So from our standpoint, we picked up voted last night, one in California [CA-10] and one in New York."
And didnt we just show that Republicans havent held it since the civil war, so wheres she repeating her misinformation from? Im going to report her to the White House!

Speaking of Knuters... I watched Olbermann and Maddow last night (more so for comical value than anything)...

He must have been the other person that was watching them last night. It was like Knuters was on TV. I could just imagine him jotting down all the stuff they were saying just so he could post it here.

I wonder if he is on their payroll.

And one year in the late 1990s, nominal and real discretionary spending actually declined year over year. The only time that has happened in decades.
