Hoffman has lived there all his life. What makes you think he doesn't know about it?

Although Hoffman's residence is 8 miles outside the 23rd district, Hoffman grew up in the 23rd district, went to high school and college in the 23rd district, and works in the 23rd district, as well.[citation needed]
You've convinced me.

Thanks for the link. That's what I was referring to, I mistakenly said debate, but it was an interview, where the questions he would be asked were published ahead of time, yet he couldn't take the time to do a little research. Yep, that's the guy I would want to send to represent me. Not because I think he would actually represent me, but because of the letter after his name. Best reason of all.

That's great and all, but once everything settles down and NY's 23 is no longer in the news, who's going to give a crap about them then? Certainly not the Conservative candidate who doesn't give a crap about them right now.
Perhaps they no longer want a rep whose job is to bring home pork, but rather to start getting govt out of their district.

Kind of hard to get government out of the district when you've got no clue exactly how government is involved in the district, ya know.

Catchy campaign slogan "Hey, I'll figure it out."

And you're just pleased as punch with the results? Right? So let's elect another guy and try it out with him? Foot, bullet, ouch.

Re: NY-23 House Race (merger)

then again we could have a former first lady with more issues than any 5 congressman, move from Arkansas where she has spent a lot of her adult life and to NYC, then tell New Yorkers that she can represent them better than someone whom yes actually lived there....and get endorsements to boot ..oh and a Yankee hat…

Growing up in a district is best case and always enviable...but frankly when these folks who do rep. congressional districts go to college, work out of district then come home and run, how 'up’ on things do you think they are? They’re better briefed by and large I'll give you that but so what? If a guy says hes a fiscal con. he can be from mars for all I care, principals that are attractive are universal and mobile, they don’t grown in a district cabbage patch and belong to the homeys…..but that’s not what this is about anyway.
