NJ--worried about absentee voter fraud in tomorrows race--ACORN again!

The race for governor in New Jersey is so close in final polls that it may well end up in a recount -- the 1981 election did and was decided by less than 1,800 votes. If there is a recount, you can bet disputes about absentee ballots will loom large. Moreover, if serious allegations of fraud emerge, you can also expect less-than-vigorous investigation by the Obama Justice Department -- which showed just how seriously it takes such allegations when it walked away from an open-and-shut voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party in Philadelphia earlier this year.

Plenty of reasons exist for suspecting absentee fraud may play a significant role in tomorrow's Garden State contests. Groups associated with Acorn in neighboring Pennsylvania and New York appear to have moved into the state. An independent candidate for mayor in Camden has already leveled charges that voter fraud is occurring in his city. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party in New Jersey is taking advantage of a new loosely written vote-by-mail law to pressure county clerks not to vigorously use signature checks to evaluate the authenticity of absentee ballots, the only verification procedure allowed.

The state has received a flood of 180,000 absentee ballot requests. On some 3,000 forms the signature doesn't match the one on file with county clerks. Yet citing concerns that voters would be disenfranchised, Democratic Party lawyer Paul Josephson wrote New Jersey's secretary of state asking her "to instruct County Clerks not to deny applications on the basis of signature comparison alone." Mr. Josephson maintained that county clerks "may be overworked and are likely not trained in handwriting analysis" and insisted that voters with suspect applications should be allowed to cast provisional ballots. Those ballots, of course, would then provide a pool of votes that would be subject to litigation in any recount, with the occupant of New Jersey's highest office determined by Florida 2000-style scrutiny of ballot applications

Geez--Acorn again!! One would think that after all the scandels surrounding this group that they would lay low for a little while. They are currently under investigation in 17 different states for voter fraud & voter registration fraud. If they screw with this election--they need to end up in federal prison. Enough is enough.

You know... I would expect this in some third world country... but here?!

Come on. This is fraud through and through.

The Dems have been using the "voter disenfranchisement" excuse for everything under the sun to make sure that literally ANYONE and EVERYONE (regardless as to whether or not they even have a legal standing to vote) votes.

The Democrats make a mockery of our electoral system.

I've been around a while, and I've never seen a Dem lose a close election. Bush v. Gore 2000 was the exception that proves the rule.

You'd think the law of averages would catch up with them, but that would require an honesty I've never seen from the Dem Machine.

Why is this so hard. The counties have a list of legal voters. You present ID. If it matches, you vote, if not, the nice state troopers escort you out. They'll even taze you if you ask, they work for you after all.

But, not everyone can afford an ID. This "disenfranchises" people. We can't have people that can't afford an ID not allowed to vote.

Not my logic... Dem logic.

I will look for the case for you. I am feeling pretty tired and lazy right now, so I may have to get it for you tomorrow.

Not my logic... Dem logic.

Years ago when I registered to vote I had to take a certified birth certificate with picture I.D--(drivers license) to the clerk & recorders office.

Today--it's sign me up & let the clerk & recorders office spend millions in tax payer dollars to figure out if a person is legally permitted to vote in this country. It's ridiculous.

Acorn is under investigation in 17 different states for voter registration fraud. When Obama was questioned about Acorn--he laughed & stated well you know they get paid for the amount of registrations they turn in, not on the validity of them.

Unbelievable! But I've heard this before. Democrats like Charlie Rangel--Jessie Jackson don't think it's necessary to have to show a valid I.D. before you vote.

If we go down this road--can you say "banana republic"--

Well... I actually JUST deleted that post since I wasn't paying to much attention and I overlooked the actual date of the article (2006).

But, that is just the tip of the iceberg with these people.

Thanks for letting us know, but we all know this is a constant topic of the far out left in this country.

Another fun situation, the GOP driving eligible voters away from the polls.

ID issues with DMV will leave Virginia voter sitting home

Quote:
She was told to bring a birth certificate, a driver's license and proof that she lived in Fairfax County.

She did this but was rejected because her birth certificate -- a fragile document the color of very weak tea certifying that a baby girl named Jean Patterson entered the world in 1919 -- didn't have the married name that appeared on all her other documents: Jean Patterson Earley.

(click top link for full story)
Retarded ID policies all in the name of partisanship .... too bad the ever-shrinking party of 'no' is still driving people away from their party.
