you know those yard signs ?

like politicians stick all over creation ? well they have a law here that you are fined for all the ones that dont get picked up.

the next day all the GOP signs were collected.

Deeds signs are still everywhere.

yes, this is typical dem behavior, even if they win..

Yeah, that's it alright. One example from a unreliable source and, magically, it's 'typical' behavior.

Re: you know those yard signs ?

I hate those fuckin' things. They're up on people's lawns, intersections, vacant lots; seemingly everywhere.

I dig that candidates need to put them up during the campaign, but they need to take them down when the campaign is over. I'd like to see such a law enacted here...

I hate them as well, but I don't think (or know, actually) if it's statewide. I know that where I'm originally from, Monterey County, there is a county ordnance that says all signs must be down within either 48 or 72 hours after election day. It's memorable because someone was actually fined, IIRC, a few years ago in the Monterey mayoral race for not having taken down the signs.

Yeah, I know, small town, small news.

Actually, I just checked, and the ordinance is freaking 10 days after election day, so whoever it was, it was rather flagrant.

Monterey was in interesting place. I remember many a day, being in class, and it being beautiful out. I'd be thinking to myself, "I can't wait till class gets out so I can go out and do something to enjoy this weather." I'd then look out across the bay, about an hour or two before class would let out, there'd be a giant fog rolling across the bay. Sure enough, it would cover the whole area and drop about 10 degrees while there'd be a weird mist/rain.

I'm still confused, why aren't they fined for breaking the law when they put the sign up, and made to take it down, (or have the state road crews do it themselves, it's not like they're put in with concrete)

Knowing Republicans, I wouldn't put it past them to go steal a few signs off some Dems lawn, go put them up on public land a few days after the election and then make some phone calls.

Actually though, that sounds kinda neat in itself. Were you ever able to slip into an alternate world?
