That's not whining to me, but speaking up for yourself.

I could've watched him and Paul talking over issues all night instead of watching those other three loons and their anti-intellectual stances on everything.
I definitely could have listened to Ron a lot more. I felt that when he was getting to his point on multiple occasions they were ringing the little bell because he ran out of time. I would like to see the debates split to know more than 2 candidates at a time. So each has more talking time than rushing them into making very brief talking points. I just think, even when Johnson had his times he just didn't stand out enough to be considered a legitimate player in the upcoming election. However, we are at the starting line and I could be dead wrong about him. All I can say, is last night was my first impression of him, and I wasn't impressed, but I am anxious to hear more debate from all of them. One debate a year before the election is not going to make my mind up about who I am going to vote for.

That's the thing with Paul. His position on things like the Fed, DEA and defense budget are great but I think he would try to go too far in some other areas and while I would agree that some programs need to be cut, others are in dire need of reform to lessen the cost. I think he would take things over the edge trying to force broad sweeping changes without fully considering the social and financial impact it would have on the country.

I actually like the guy but I cannot be too sure he would make a good president. Add to that the fact that he is 76 so it gives me pause to think he would be able to handle the stresses of being president especially in today's tech-heavy environment where you have to literally jump through hoops at all hours of the day with massive issues being lobbed at you at a steady, unrelenting pace. With that said, one would have to seriously consider who his VP is. Because at 76 he is two years away from the average life expectancy so it is quite likely that he would not make it through his first term either by death or by a serious health problem that renders him unable to perform his duties.

    Like this one...

T-Paw had a good explanation, and i like how he admits his mistakes.
“Are vital U.S. interests more imperiled by what happens in Iraq where were have 50,000 troops, or Afghanistan where we have 100,000, or South Korea where we have 28,000 -- or by what is happening on our border with Mexico?...What does it profit America if we save Anbar and lose Arizona?”

That's an interesting point and probably a point his opposition will use against him greatly. The age thing will definitely be a negative in his column or will be considered to be a negative anyway.

What a real snoozer! The lack of any serious candidates, coupled with the swift collapse of the Ryan plan to privatize Medicare, cause me to think that the smart GOP money has concluded that Obama is unbeatable in 2012. Mitt appears to be positioning himself as the last man standing and to make the run and take one for the team in order to prevent catastrophic losses at the state and congressional levels which would result from the nomination of one of the screwball candidates.

Although the TEA Partiers will howl about socialism and the death of the Republic, the reality is that the Big Boys who pull the strings in the GOP are a lot happier with Obama, Geithner, Bernanke and Clinton than they are or would be with guys like Rand Paul or Jim DeMint. Obama is, in reality, a traditional Northern liberal Republican flying the Democratic flag. Wall St. is rolling in dough even if the middle class is not. As long as Obama is in the White House, labor, blacks and the left will remain frozen within a toothless Democratic Party.

The result is a field of stumble bum candidates gaming the GOP primary process for personal gain before Mitt steps into the the ring to take the fall. Very much business as usual over at the Yale Club.

Ron Paul was good like alway's, Cain had his moment's but there where times when what he said made me cringe. Gov Johnson seams like a really nice guy, I thank he was probley high during the debate, I think he is in way over his head, and whats up with the plug for his .com and him doing the little finger gun thing at the end lol. The other two well they might go further, cookie cuter republican candidate for the most part, willing to tow the party line and follow the money, weather its good for the people or not.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?

Who the fuck is Herman Cain?

He reminds me of that couple who crashed that White House state dinner a couple years ago.

    Is he even a politician?

    Good luck to him.

    And Rick Santorum?

The same Rick Santorum who made his kids sleep with their stillborn sibling?

    Good luck to him too.

Now Ron Paul I've a.) actually heard of and b.) haven't heard anything that makes me think he's batshit crazy.

So...one out of three that might have some small chance in hell of actually getting a nomination?

If by a slim chance ol Rick Santorum is the GOP nomie, I will vote for Obama (just lock his ass tight with a strong conservative house).

Santorum is a joke and will give all illegals amnesty. IIRC; he was also part blame for businesses leaving PA because of taxes.

    Well to quote Herman Cain.

    Re: South Carolina Debate Tonight

Of the 5 candidates in the debate, Pawlenty was seen as the only viable one going in. It was his debate to lose.

The FOX News poll afterwards has showed that Herman Cain won the debate, while Rick Santorum finished second.

Ron Paul, however, raised close to $900,000 the day going into the debate, while he has raised well over $1 million since the debate. The others have raised pocket change.

So the big loser of the night was Pawlenty, while the big winner was Cain, who didn't hurt himself, even though his anti-intellectual stances on everything are pretty stupid.
