    Romney wins AZ by 63000%

    or something like that.

The exit polls are showing what was predicted all along. Once again, AZ chooses to hand it to the "most electable".

It's so damned frustrating. I had a good friend come in with his wife today and they told me that they voted for Romney even though they didn't much like him. He said that Santorum was as nuts socially as Paul was on foreign policy so I asked him "What about Newt?" and his reply was something along the lines of "Yeah but New's so far behind that it just doesn't matter." Sad. This guy is someone that I'd consider to be a solid Conservative too.

I'm so fucking sick and tired of the whole "Well, at least I supported the right party" crap that it makes me want to puke. Neither party has the least bit of interest in actually doing the things that need to be done and simply sucking that party dick is totally unacceptable in my book.

To be honest Luther they just don't want to be irrelevant in the Presidential election. I know many liberals who think Obama sucks ... yet they will still vote for him.

Just to add to my chagrin I decided to check out some of the exit poll data from down here:

Election 2012 - Exit Poll Results for Arizona - CBS News

The only thing even remotely soothing to me in this mess is that at least it seems that Pima County (my county) didn't slobber all over the Romney knob to the same extent that they did elsewhere in the state.

Observation ... money votes for Mitt. Ability to defeat Obama ... vote to Mitt.

Tea Party / extreme conservative vote goes to Santorum.

    Youth to Mitt and Paul.

Sounds like there isn't a lot of far right / tea party support in Arizona. More monied support ... over social issues.

Important to Arizonans, economy, FED budget deficit

Except if that stuff was important to Arizonans they wouldn't have voted for Romney.

I've been doing interning and phone bank calls for the Ron Paul campaign. It's sad and alarming at how so called Republicans are willing to roll over and give up what they claim to believe in so easily and quickly. I'm not talking about convincing supporters to vote for Ron Paul, though that's obviously what I'm doing. I'm talking about the tepid and weak-willed responses I get when I ask people why they support Romney. Comments like...

    "Oh he's going to win."
    "He looks presidential."
"We don't care for him but he can beat Obama."
"I can't stand Romney but I really hate Obama. I like Santorum but he can't win."
"It's going to take a liberal to beat a liberal sadly"

This is the kind of crap that has me convinced that the average Republican voter stands for nothing.

Yeah, I don't understand why people think that the Republican Party owns their vote. That's what's so great about so many of the young Ron Paul voters. They want a conservative. While a couple of interns I've met said they'd be willing to vote for Santorum or Gingrich all of them hate Mitt Romney. Of all the candidates Romney is the one who isn't a conservative.

Re: Romney wins AZ by 63000%

It makes sense that a bunch of old farts voted for the guy who said he's in favor of Paul Ryan's plan to end Medicare as we know it.

Then the same old farts would get just as upset the minute they realize they need to go shopping with vouchers that are worth not a whole lot in the long run compared to the problems they all have with cancer and their hearts and so on.

Republican voters just keep doing it to themselves they do, and then getting super angry the minute the bozos they wanted do what they said they'd do.
