That's right, at least he has good advisers, Obama on the other hand, likes to invest in bankrupt companies, solar and wind that does not save one drop of oil.

That would probably be a good idea, being they don't pay any federal taxes as it is. At least then they would have some skin in the game.

    Re: Scenario: Romney is elected

Honestly I think little if anything will change. It might actually be the best thing for the Republican party if he does win, and they see that they can have election success with a moderate candidate. I fear that if he loses this election... the pressure to appeal to the base by nominating an extreme conservative candidate will be quite high. The thought of a president Santorum or Huckabee just sends shivers down my spine. They would be far too busy trying to legislate social issues to bother with the unimportant things like the economy and jobs.

Rupurt Muroch turned Huckabee in a Conservative; I guess a few million dollars a year will do that.

    ahoy Danny,

thar will be no enactment similar to the Ryan budget, mate.

'tis just theatre. the GOP lifted anchor and hoisted thar sails the moment they got a sour reaction from the public o'er his proposals...so i wouldn't worry too much 'bout Ryancare.

    ahoy Forplay,

i'd agree with yer analysis here, matey. President Obama be probably slightly to the right 'o Mr. Romney. i don't know if that'll aid the mighty Mitt with the far left wing voters in our great land, much in the same way that President Obama bein' just a bit to the right 'o Mitt isn't goin' cause the Tsquares 'o the country to flock to the President's banner.

Exactly! They had little choice. The US is perfectly able to get the financing necessary to continue borrowing until the economy reaches full employment without having any adverse effects on the economy. Then, through smart cuts, smart taxation and medicare reform will you be able to get rid of the deficit completely and begin paying down the debt. Austerity now when it's not needed will prolong the hardship and kill the recovery which is exactly what Republicans want because it will make the POTUS look bad.

Danny: I'm much more interested in how you would feel / react if Obama is turned out by the American voters this November. You have much vested in him I think.

    Thoughts?
