“If we open up our borders … we could suppress wages of middle class jobs” – Alan GreenspanWe need to suppress the wage levels of the skilled. We need to suppress wages in comparison to the “lesser skilled ” - Alan Greenspan
Honestly I think little if anything will change. It might actually be the best thing for the Republican party if he does win, and they see that they can have election success with a moderate candidate. I fear that if he loses this election... the pressure to appeal to the base by nominating an extreme conservative candidate will be quite high. The thought of a president Santorum or Huckabee just sends shivers down my spine. They would be far too busy trying to legislate social issues to bother with the unimportant things like the economy and jobs.

Danny: I'm much more interested in how you would feel / react if Obama is turned out by the American voters this November. You have much vested in him I think.

The Revolution Will not be Televised
You might hope to keep your insurance plan, your doctor, your premium, and your deductible, but Obamacare is going to change all of that for you.
Ok, since Tsquare is the only one who has really addressed the topic in a way that is supportive of Romney's presidency over Obama's:
Let me try to paraphrase tsquare's posts, and see if people agree:
A) People will FEEL better about a Romney presidency and therefore will be more willing to invest which will stimulate the economy and therefore solve all sorts of problems. (see B to see why they will feel better).
B) Romney will decrease regulation which is why people will feel better. (see A for why that helps our country).
C) Romney will drastically modify/repeal the ACA.
Now those could be true, tsquare is a smart guy, maybe he's onto something.
Regarding B, Who feels that Romney will substantially deregulate business more than Obama? Is there anything in Romney's voting record that suggests he will do this? I honestly don't know enough about his term(s) as governor.
Regarding C, who feels that Romney will repeal/drastically alter the ACA? First of all, he'd have to push it through what will probably be a mixed congress. Secondly, since the ACA is almost exactly what he supported in MA, its hard to think that he will work around the clock to dismantle a very similar federal version to his own plan that he backed.
I guess I'm skeptical. I don't think Romney will do B or C, and therefore the premise of A won't come to pass any more under Romney than it will under Obama as the economy continues to recover.
Liberals fail to recognize that modern conservatives are direct evidence of the failure of the public education system.
