Nope your right they didn't fly the flag upside down. The Republicans were to busy trying to fricasee him to try that little political free speech issue out.

You don't like it? I am sorry, but it remains as is until we are no longer in distress.

If I was really trying to offend you I would have found one burning. Even I am not that far gone yet.

First of all it isn't disresepct. It is an aknowledged sign of distress. A burning flag would have been disrespect, which is why I did not use it.

Also, and please do not take this personally or as a sign of contempt for your choosen profession since it is not intended that way. I am getting a little tired of military people telling us anytime they don't like something that they fought for our freedoms. First of all the last time we actually fought for the freedom of America was in WWII. Vietnam wan't for our freedom, nor were the many minor invasions since. GWI was to free the Kuwaitis, and I am frankly not sure what Iraq was for, they keep changing the reasons. While I am glad there are people willing to go in the military, I fight hard as well for my freedoms. I do it by standing up for what I believe in, being active in local politics, and keeping myself informed on topics.

Again thankyou for your willingness to serve, but all of us fight for our freedoms in our own way. Your way was different than mine, but it makes mine no less valid or important. Everytime I hear what you said it is said to marginalize those of us that have not made the military a career choice. Had there been a need for me to go into the military I would have.

HMMMMMMMMMMMM and i usually get the above response from people who dont like the military

and i didnt marginalize what you do, what you are doing is protesting a election by saying the country is in distress, and to you that is serving your country

i totally disagree but i never said i have done more than you by serving

and when i swear in i swear to defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic

thus the freedoms i fight for

but you wouldnt get that so its a mute point

You will note I said had there been a need. Has Iraq attacked us? No, therefore no need exists at present. Had we needed the troops in Afghanistan that would be different, but since Bush decided they weren't needed there and claims all is well I presume he has it covered. Besides I don't think they need people my age. Have you signed up?

There have been posts that you have made in the past that have been good, but this posting of over 125 in a short time........... that is way over the edge, yes there are things that the current Admin is doing that need to be talked about, brought to the light of day..... but done in a flood of posts only turns people off to what one has to say. Now if one thinks that this is the way to get things done...... so be it........ time will tell the truth in the matter as to a flood or a slower thoughtfull means of talking of different things getting done or not done. Is the aim to drive people away? or bring enlightment to the people that post here?
