Well, then arguably Cho "immortalized" himself by setting his thoughts down in a recordable medium. But hey, as long as we're playing fast and loose with accuracy for the sake of a sensationalist thread-title, why not amend it to say "Liberals start petition for a national holiday honoring Cho"?

Or better yet, why don't you just have a macro that starts threads saying "I hate liberals and wish they would all die" periodically. That way, you can spend less time typing words but without worrying about a drop-off in the quality of your posts.

I agree. I'm More than happy to bash the media for left-wing bias, but in this case, it was primarily a matter of dollars and sense. I'm not even sure I can bash NBC for showing the videos - on the one hand, I agree it's bad to give the wacko the soapbox he wanted, but on the other hand there is a lot of public curiousity that might be considered 'right to know'.

(An interesting side note - My son goes to school with a boy whose parents are just-off-the-boat Korean. Their society apparently has a strong collectivist streak of sorts, and I heard the mom sincerely apologized to some of the other parents for the wacko's behavior, both saddened and embarassed by the whole incident.)

I completely agree. For awhile now, I've been advocating removing any reference or teaching of Hitler in schools. I'm also very big on not showing any sort of information on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or Kim Jong Il. I thought it was very irresponsible for the government to even name anyone involved in the 9/11 attacks and I cringe whenever the local news has a report about any murderer.

As soon as I can get that liberal, murderer soap box America's Most Wanted off the air, I will tackle the above.

NBC didn't air it because the mass murderder "wanted" it. The guy sent it to them - they simply did what any other news channel would have done - report things as they are.

And as for my comment on Fox, it was a direct response to your nonsense about the "liberal" media "immortalizing" Cho. The right wing media (Fox) couldn't even get his nationality right, and spouted off without even knowing where the guy came from. At least this channel is reporting honestly.
