Looking at any of these pictures is a crime.

These measures have nothing to do with protecting children from abuse. The governements, under influence of Christian movements, are imposing morals and values on us. It is almost like thought-crime. The content of everyone generating a decent amount of internet traffic is being looked at. That is how they rolled up all those "child porn networks" this year.

I think this will backfire. First of all it will undermine the current succes of faith-based political ideologies. Legislators in these movements are slowly alienating themselves from the general populace by suggesting more drastic moral-based legislation. There are numerous examples.

Secondly the real perverts will now have to organize better and resort to more serious criminal activities in order to obtain material that is now no longer normally available in magazines and the internet like it used to be. Ironically it is the children who are suffering under this.

The argument used by the feds to counter that is when you click a link to avoid it being deceptively sent to you use your cursor and drag it over the link and let the full url pop up without clicking on the link itself.

I'm currently trying to fight my local bureaucracy because they're overcharging me for property taxes. THEY say my house is worth millions (huge exaggeration here), I had it assessed and it's NOT, but I STILL HAVE to pay property taxes on a house that I DON'T EVEN OWN. They've made plunder of the population LEGAL y'see ? This isn't something I'd go on a killing spree over, mind you .... and this is why they can continue DOING it. Because none of "US" has the time and/or resources to truly LEGALLY fight back so we give up and "pay them off" every year.

All I can do is send them nasty notes :-) Other LONG term things too, but nothing that will save me any real, honest $$ in the long run.
