If something is "implied" with that amount of subtlety, that everyone but you doesn't see it, it's always best to ask the poster for a clarification.
To me, it just sounds like somebody ripped another person off. Perhaps they used their mutual connection to their advantage. I don't see where it reflects on Jews or Holocaust survivors in any way.

Well I am curious as to why the "hollowcost" has to be dragged into a crime story?

Based on my past experience, the post struck me as qualifying for anti-semitic status, ie, most forums don't like the truth about Judaism, Zionism or Israel being aired.
