Re: Texan 'hero' shoots and kills burglars at neighbours'
When you actually asked why nobody answered i was gonna say its because its you, but what's the point, you already know that.

Horn said "move - youre dead!" A second later (maybe 1 1/2 second) he fires three shots. Murder one - no doubt about it.

Re: Texan 'hero' shoots and kills burglars at neighbours'
I dont have a problem with my own argument. I have a problem with the intentional misrepresentation of the situation, the complete and total disregard for the responses you're getting, and the fact that you and others insist upon being obtuse.

Legal defense of property in the state of Texas. No doubt about it. You need to get that through your head wallaroo. NO LAW WAS BROKEN BY HORN.

So now you're changing your argument? Only criminals you deem insignificant don't deserve to live?

Everyone started off the thread on the "Its murder but he's free" line until folks actually looked at the law and then it turned to moral outrage. I don't have any problem with anyone who thinks what he did was wrong, its a very controversial issue, but so far he hasn't been charged and probably won't be. |

So you're ignoring Mrs. M to spite me? That's bizarre but if you think you've discovered a new type of physics I'm sure she'd appreciate a PM of your response.

Re: Texan 'hero' shoots and kills burglars at neighbours'
There's a reason that we don't try 13 yr old kids as adults for simple burglary...they make mistakes and one incident definitely doesn't warrant the death penalty. (BTW, you just shot my high school boyfriend and his friend who broke into the neighbor's house when they was 13. Tragic, because he was a helluva Marine after we graduated!)

Yes, if your high school boyfriend broke into my home when he was 13, he'd likely have gotten himself shot. Too bad. Some of the lessons we learn in life have some serious penalties.

Re: Texan 'hero' shoots and kills burglars at neighbours'
One minute you said a criminals life isn't worth a damn now it seems like you feel people who commit misdemeanors aren't criminals.
