First off, there is no indication he shot them in the back - merely a claim by another poster.

Second - even if he did, the law is crystal clear, so it is irrelevant. There is no legal or even moral obligation to "fight fair". The whole idea that one must be facing his opponent and give him fair warning is bullshit. Criminals don't do that so they hardly warrant similar treatment.

Third, I have zero moral issues with killing someone who has broken into my home.

Well what else could you have possibly meant by pointing out that people often take the easy route when I had asked you why you seemed to be a criminal advocate?

Horn says he came out his front door, down his porch and confronted the two burglars. The next sounds heard on the 911 tape are Horn ordering the two men to stop … and then shooting them both.

"Move — you're dead," he said, and fired his shotgun three times.

"Both suspects were shot in the back," said Pasadena Police Captain A.H. "Bud" Corbett. "Not at the same angle, but both suspects were hit in the back."

So he's just a regular non-criminal coward.

He's not a coward, if he was then he would have hidden under the table or something.

I think the burglars are the ones who are cowards, breaking and entering into a homeknowing there's no-one about who would otherwise stop them.

Unluckily for them, they weren't as well equated with our laws as Horn.

Re: Texan 'hero' shoots and kills burglars at neighbours'

That's another question that nobody has asked until now either (along with the time the police took to arrive), anybody know if they were armed or not?

I do know one of them did have a history of arrests including violent crimes so its possible.

Hardly. I was pointing out the flaw in his logic. Its called sarcasm. Acquaint yourself with the concept.

Irrelevant as far as the law is concerned.

The only logical flaw I've seen are your radical leaps in logic.

How you equate "some people take the easy way out" to "A.P. endorses theft" is beyond me.

YOU are the one who responded to my post accusing you of endorsing his behavior by saying that some people prefer the easy way. Explain what you meant by that if you believe my interpretation was incorrect.
