A federal judge ruled today that graphic pictures of detainee abuse at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison must be released over government claims that they could damage America's image.

Someone should tell them that bad press can be prevented by not abusing prisoners in the first place. Censorship is only needed to preserve the good reputation of those who have tortured and/or murdered already.

It's idiotic to reach the assumption that, had the scumbag not entered this country illegally, that the girl would've still been raped.

Who said that? I think what people are saying is that it is POSSIBLE she still would have been raped, since illegal immigration is not directly tied to rape. Residents AND immigrants (legal or illegal) are capable of it. Similarly, guns are not directly tied to murder. People have been killing one another before the use of gunpowder.
