As law does not constitute morality (which I'm sure you understand so I'll spare us the requisite Hitler comparison), I'm interested in whether someone considers it morally justified to kill an electronic criminal.

Like with the reposssession laws there are different laws for commercial theft and again not private property, so its not applicable. If its from a merchant/vender etc they are goods for sale and they have their own security etc.

Well, whether the store owner or random passerby are the ones actually administering high powered justice to the back of children's heads is irrelevant as long as someone takes them out.

Nah they would have the jurisdiction to kill you if they so chose, their security or anyone there on behalf of them or representing them or any individual who deemed you a thread could kill you third party for being on their property.

The laws are complicated but generally stores are mandated to provide certain security etc, and that means various security officials etc. Now i'm not sure what their direct responsibilities and restrictions are but i guess they would be the first to deal with it. Unless you would be the authority within the shop you can't administer anything as you're on their property, unless they have no objection to what you're doing.

Like with Horn, the practicaity of the matter would suggest that if he did go onto his neighbor's lawn to kill those two his neighbor would probably have no problem with it as he would be doing it to defend his neighbor and thus in a more everyday sense if there were a string of neighborhood robberies and you had to chase accross 10 properties to hunt someone down they probably wouldn't mind as they would sleep safer at night with one less burglar prowling the neighborhood. However if they did object after the fact that could be problematic for you.
