You could use it as a list of classics or highly recommended books you want to read, I suppose.
I can think of a few: For Whom the Bell Tolls, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Don Quixote

I kid. Crime and Punishment, Don Quixote, Moby Dick, etc. etc. I need to read more of the classics.

I've tried to read Gravity's Rainbow maybe three times, and I just fucking hate Pynchon's style. And this is coming from a guy who finished Finnegan's Wake, no problem.
