Right now I'm reading Army of the Potomac vol2 by Russel H. Beaty and rereading Glory Road by Bruce Catton. Always looking for good books on the American Civil War.

Re: What are you reading right now?
Just finished The History of Cannibalism by Nathan Constantine. Bought it a Half Price Bookstore. Interesting and dark topic. The practice of ancient cannibalism arose in parts of the Carribeans, North America, South America (especially the Aztecs), Pacific Islands, Africa (which was said to once had a human meat market, and still had issues with cannibalism during civil wars in the 90's), China, and some pagan parts of Europe. Had a hard time putting it down, though the last few chapters were very disturbing, once it moved out of cultural and ancient cannibalism towards modern serial killers. When it comes to some of the details, there are some discrpenancies, and even some bias, between the book and other sources. But overall, I thought it was an interesting read.
Also, I'm almost finished with Meditations, by Marcus Aurelius. |

Re: What are you reading right now?
I am reading a book called Smokeout by S.V. Date. Suppose to be fiction but it's all about crooked politicians and sleazy lobbyist so it reads more like the daily news.

Re: What are you reading right now?
I'm not reading any fiction right now but I did finish up Dean Koontz's Frankenstein trilogy last week. I don't usually care for Koontz but this was an excellent story. Dr. Frankenstein is the source of evil and not his creation just like it should be. However, I am reading the following:
