Hank, it seems you have the definitive proof. I look forward to seeing your $10,000 winning submission. Of course, I do get my 20% finder's fee, so I look forward to the $2K you'll be sending my way shortly.

Hank's got it all figured out. I think he's just waiting for the Pony Express rider to come by, stick the winning submission in the mochila & carry it to Shell Oil Co.'s HQ. . .

Re: Refute global warming, win $10K!

There is no debate on this you know. What I told you really is what occurred. The weatherman organization did infiltrate the young democratic socialist party when they no longer had Viet Nam. The global warming movement has had many faces and angles. It began with over population and was shot down, it went to global cooling and was shot down, it went to global warming and was again shot down, it went to everything the weather did and was shot down. Now it’s back to global warming again with censorship of opposition and labels like you example on this thread.
I witnessed this with neo-Darwinism where they silenced, censored and outright banned science publishing that did not agree. Now there doing the same thing with global warming on decertifying meteorologist that disagree with global warming. Is this what you people really want your country to be???

On the eastern seaboard of Australia, we are living in the future. It's not pleasant, in fact, it's bloody awful. My once luxuriant garden has gone to dust, the lack of an ozone layer makes me keep away from the beach, winters are freezing and summers are boiling.

There hasn't been a decent rainfall in over ten years in my suburb.

If you don't believe in global warming, come and live here for six months!

Purpose

In this section of our web site we would like to help you find the information you want quickly and easily. Along the way we hope your awareness of what the Bureau of Meteorology has to offer will increase, and perhaps you will understand the field of meteorology better. Consider the following information as a starting point.

Climate & weather: what's the difference?
There is a variety of ways to explain the difference. Here are a few that may shed some light:

Climate is what you expect; weather is what you get.

Climate is about long-term records, trends and averages;
weather is the day to day experience.

Climate is the sum or synthesis of all the weather recorded over a long period of time. It tells us the average or most common conditions, or extremes, or counts of events, or frequencies. Weather is a description of conditions over a short period of time - a "snap shot" of the atmosphere at a particular time.

If weather is the watch then climate is the calendar.
BOM - Learn About Meteorology

Posted in the interests of furthering the knowledge of those who look out of the window when asked to discuss climate change.

Not necessary I live in Florida, It came here:

Ever hear the expression: “Want to buy some swamp land in Florida?”
It’s because we have 60+ years of beautiful green pastures and forests that flood for up to 20 years before they return to forest. You can see complete Communities including stores that are abandoned in swamps with vines covering the buildings from I-75.
Right now I’m experiencing 50 mph winds and nickel size hail as I’m typing this @ 9:00 a.m. the 15th in case you wish to check. Spring hill is in Hernando County Fla. And I am experiencing a flood as we speak…
The hole in the Ozone layer being in the southern hemisphere instead of the northern “where said problems are” should in itself tell you something, People not being told this about the ozone hole should tell you something else.

(Cycles do not cross the equator incase they try to tell you it *cough* migrated….)

Kindly explain the hurricane that hit Brazil last year. I do believe this was a first in recorded history. . .
