People die of Acne?

Actually I have heard of this...it seems that upon extremely rare cases Acne gets so out of control that it spreads to the brain and causes an infection that can kill you.

Well it's perhaps not so surprising when you consider acne is simply a bacterial infection and bacteria can get out of hand for some people. Put that in an environment with poor hygiene or supressed immunity and away it goes.

A drug used to treat severe acne (Accutane by Roche) has been associated with causing depression and suicides in some cases. It is possible that this is the attributed cause of 'death by acne'.

Well I learned how much my state really sucks. We are never last but we are always on the bottom half in just about everything.

I know that it can be fatal if extremely severe but like you said very rare indeed.

I bet the number of deaths would be much higher if the suicides due not to Accutane, but to acne itself were counted...

Death by acne? What's it like, do you scratch yourself to death? Heh. Haha. MuhahahaHAha. Hmm.

So Kentucky has an “Everything in moderation” attitude, you could say, partofme…that’ doesn’t suck at all! I reckon Kentucky would be a pretty cool state.

Anyway, re the topic…I think any skin complaint needs to be taken seriously. Here, one of the greatest risks is from Melanoma.
