Ooh, I forgot Harlan Ellison too. A great author, who drives TV/movie industry folks crazy due to his perfectionism. Which was the case with A Boy & His Dog, one of the Star Trek Episodes and I, Robot. Good stories, even if the author behind them has a history of driving people crazy.

Though he really isn't a golden science fiction author either...
