The only "hole" is evolution.

You have ZERO physical proof of evolution right? so basically the theory is as about as good as the theory of space aliens mating with primates and creating the human race no?
Actually, we have a lot of physical proof. Biochemical proof (from DNA sequencing). Proof from ontogeny (how things develop). And proof from fossils. We've even seen mechanisms of evolution occur in other organisms that have a short generation time.

So, it's got a hell of a lot more weight than your alien theory.

Do you believe in natural selection (aka survival and propagation of the fittest)? If not, you should educate yourself on the mechanic. If you are educated on what natural selection is, and still disregard it as nonsense then there's really no point in talking to you on this topic. If however you DO believe in natural selection, then evolution is inevitable because of how genes are passed on and how species variability propagates. Evolution is stressed way too much, natural selection is the real point, with tons of evidence to support it.

Re: Oldest "Human" Skeleton Found--Disproves "Missing Link"(?)

The entire "missing link", evolution vs religion debate is silly to me. I have never understood why certain people have to reconcile the Genesis story of creation with scientific theory. It reminds me of an aunt of mine telling my brother and I that God gave Adam and Eve the King James version of the Bible in the Garden of Eden. Not to say I don't believe in God, I do, but I don't have the need to somehow balance religion and science.

To deny evolution, even human evolution, makes as much sense as denying that modern antibiotics work, or the blood pressure and cholesterol meds I take every day. Anyone who reads and studies evolution will find great disagreements in the scientific community, but this is usually concerning conclusions, not about whether on not evolution exists. Certainly many different primates existed, and the evidence conclusively shows that humans and chimps have a common ancestor. I suspect many more "missing links" will be found. But surprise, not all of the "missing links" became our or other primates forefathers. Some died out as other species died out. When one considers us vs chimps don't forget we inhabit the entire world, because we adapted, chimps inhabit a shrinking forest.

The belief in God or even conforming to a religion or sect is a completely different matter. To view the Bible as a scientific journal is to apply Western philosophy to a Middle Eastern document. Anyone who reads and studies research into early Christianity will find many diverse views in the first several centuries of the early church. For me it is not an argument against Christianity but rather illustrates disagreements in meaning and interpretation by people who were much more familiar with the culture that produced Christianity than we are today.

I guess it would be safe to say I wondered a little off topic, but I do have a point. To argue the "missing link" without years of research into the topic either defies reason or indicates a belief that precludes other information.

I'm reminded of a quote I saw on the bathroom wall while I was in college.

"There is no knowledge only suspicion based in the redundancy of superstition"
