Re: UEFA EURO 2008 final tournament
Brazil are so good to watch. When they take off...you'd need a heart of stone not to warm to them. That is the interesting part of the World Cup, the comparison in styles, which will triumph. The organisation of team like Germany v the superb, athletic, flowing, skillful style of the Brazilians...
Good luck with that Netherlands vote, I can't see it myself

All the teams in the Euro 2008 are fairly good. This does not mean that all good teams are in the Euro 2008.

Re: UEFA EURO 2008 final tournament
Well ... Austria and Switzerland are the hosts and didn't need to go through the qualification. But apart from that I don't see any weak teams. You could argue that England might be stronger than some of the other teams ... but hey ... the got every chance to qualify but didn't make it. After all ... there are only 16 places in the tournament.

Re: UEFA EURO 2008 final tournament
Nah i'd say on top of the hosts Sweeden and Turkey are pretty weak. I'd also say the Soviets and ex Soviet states (Russia anyway) aren't so great...Gus Hiddink is a good coach but the team sucks. I like Romania and Poland aren't bad bit i doubt many others agree with me on that. I'd say there were only 5 or maybe 6 very good teams.

No, but, as I did write: fairly good.

Re: UEFA EURO 2008 final tournament
Maybe you and I just define the word "good" differently, when it comes to football teams.

Re: UEFA EURO 2008 final tournament
In comparison with nations elsewhere in the world (not just SA but countries like Mexico and Japan, South Korea etc etc) are better than some of this lot. Then add in all the South American teams and the odd African nation and you have better players, better coaches, better team performances and in general you have all the makings of a better tournament.
