Damning with faint praise

So, I was just watching ESPN, with Emmitt Smith and the rest of the B announcers doing Monday Night Football's mop-up duty, trying to make the Saints' waxing of the Packers more interesting than it actually was. Breez is on pace to throw for 300,000 yards. The Packers have the best two corners in football (Harris and Woodson), but they got worked. The sort of shit you'd expect after a 50-whatever to 20-whatever Monday Night Ratings Killer.

Except.... the former QB dude sitting next to Emmitt Smith said something absolutely hilarious. I had to rewind my TV to make sure I'd heard it right...

They showed the standings for the NFC Horrible (North) with the Bears and Vikings leading the way at 6-5 and the Pack now at 5-6, with the Lions, after coughing up a 17-0 lead yesterday, at 0-11. They were talking about the Pack's upcoming games and their rough road to hoe to claiming the NFC horrible division title and the right to be annihilated by the Redskins or Cowboys in the first round, and QB dude summed up the division this way:

"The Bears and the Vikings, blah, blah, mediocrity, playing next week, and the Packers, mediocrity and blah-blah, and the 0-11 Detroit Lions... they still technically play NFL games each week..."

Am I the only one that finds that absolutely hilarious?

The slap at Detroit or the amusing jumbled mess they come out with?

Specifically, the slap at Detroit. When I watched the beloved yesterday, the game was on FOX and announced by Brian Baldinger. After listening to that moron for three hours, nothing short of a dumped puzzle seems 'jumbling'

Hehe...

I think the slap at detroit is accurate, i think it was PTI or something where i was watching and Meriot hotels or whatever his name is said something about Detoit going 0&16, defaulting and going broke and basically asking for a bailout with the rest of the city from the DC establishment.

He said it was all part of their master plan.
