You can't just put 50 to 60 points up every week, sometimes you have to be able to play poorly and still win, which is what championship teams do. (Granted, LSU have done a lot of that this season, but the big test against FL will show what they are made of).
Unfortunately when you live that way sometimes you run out of luck.

It's better to demolish everyone then just barely win.

I do agree with you though. They showed spirit.

So I don't believe that's the case.
Georgia was definitely the toughest team we've played so far and everyone was calling for Georgia to win but I think a combination of luck and skill won the game. I do wish Miles would change quarterbacks though...I'm just not overly impressed with Jefferson.

the Dawgs had a VERY costly penalty then collapsed (as kids do)

tiggers prevailed, God bless them. A win is a win.

Re: NCAA Football

Yeah, they are riding their luck a bit, that's for sure.

If they do the same against the Gators, they'll get eaten alive. I think the pre-season rank they got, outside the top 10 was accurate, given the performances they have put up so far, but with each win, and teams above them losing, they are gaining ground in the rankings and momentum, so they have a very inflated place right now.

If they perform to the standard of a top 4 ranked team, (which i'm not entirely sure they're capable of) then they stand a good chance against FL. But nobody really knows how good this Tigers set up really is...are they really just mediocre, or have they just had a couple of poorer performances where they've had to grind out results?

I'd like to see Jarrett Lee back in there. He was a freshman starter last year and did will until he got an ankle injury.

I thought he had quit the game, sorry my bad.

Though, even still, being 5&0, top 4 rank, possibly higher after today, and facing the number 1 ranked team next, seems like the wrong time to make this change!

Should Miles make the gamble, and it go wrong, this is the sort of decision that can cost a coach his job...

Yeah, to an extent. Though thisn't a run of the mill season, there have been more surprises in the first few weeks of this season than in the entire season last year!

Re: NCAA Football

You just want small, not so good teams like yours to have a chance!

Yeah, I know, but I do think Jarrett would be better....

As for Florida next week...it's a night game and it's being played in Death Valley, two things that are definitely in LSU's favor.

I'm a TN fan and I'm fed up with the QB situation.

Crompton is a real cluster and I don't think experience is going to make him any better.

He has a good team around him but he keeps making stupid plays.

I really liked the hit on Florida's Tim Tebo. Guy pisses me off.

I'm watching the game and Auburn is going to win unless TN changes QBs.

Actually TN used a Wildcat play on their first play and it went for about 50.

I would run that the rest of the game.
