Re: USA qualifies for the 2010 World Cup (highlights within)

Yeah, didn't pick up on that. Sorry.

For what it is worth I'll be rooting for three teams; the US, Germany, and England.

I'll be rooting for 2 teams: Argentina and Germany.

The WC will be fine as long as neither England/Netherlands/BRASIL or Italy wins it.

Yeah? Between your two nations you have won the WC 7 times and countless European championships, that's impressive?

So why don't you like the Italians? (I remember us discussing this a while back...)

ahhhhhhh now i see why you like argentina. it's a "we hate those limey english bastards" thing isn't it. that's understandable i guess.

i like messi and mascherano, but only because the former is ridiculously fun to watch, and the latter plays for the best club in the world.

There are two types of people in this world that I cannot stand; those who are intolerant of other cultures, and the Dutch.

the italians play the worst sort of soccer: bunker bunker possess possess play a long ball bunker bunker possess possess and then once stoppage time starts, throw an extra guy forward and try to steal a goal in the last 2 minutes of the game.

can't say it's not effective, but god damn does it suck to watch.

oh and italians smell and play dirty. and they're all in the mafia.

Yeah...i would love it. I stopped watching the Premier league for the rest of the season after Keegan got sacked, just simply because i couldn't stand him.

Though on the positive side of things, the last time Ronaldo played against Germany, when you knocked them out, he got injured and missed the start of the season!

Anyway hope the Albiceleste will beat Uruguay, a WC without them is unthinkable for me.
I dunno, Uraguay won the firt 2 WC's didn't they? A WC without them seems sad to me...

Well my "love" for the isle monkeys aside I have a fatherland (Germany) which I support/love for everything and a motherland (Argentina), which I just support for football.

Not at all, its a stereotype that isn't accurate, they can play some of the best passing football in the world when they are in form.

They have a lot of talented players, with individual skill like Del Piero, Pirlo etc, they just don't have pace so it seems like they are playing slower than other teams. I'd take their style over ours anyday.

Its the French who usually smell, but other than that, what's your objection to being mobsters and dirty tackling?

I hate them too, why not...(but i like some of their players, not neccessarily Messi though).

Mascherano plays for Liverpool, as of late they are anything but the best club in the world...or did he transfer out to Real or something? Even they stink...

While i realized what you said was a joke, all the way through i kept thinking "I'd love it for Sheva to stick it up Jose's ass" for all the shit Jose had done at the Bridge.

Fuck it, he's doing a terrible job at Inter, hopefully he can take the Portugal job from Quiroz (who himself is all over the place) and then Jose can deal with the temprement of Ronaldo.

I couldn't have sumed it up any better

Anyway funny sterrotypes aside, it's exactly their way of playing football (as you've correctly described it), which I don't like and the fact that often teams I'd much more liked to see winning have been the victim of the Italians "style".

Anway love/sympathy is for free, hate has to be earned, so the Italians get from me what they truely deserve (when it comes to football)

Re: USA qualifies for the 2010 World Cup (highlights within)

Its nothing of the sort...when Italy beat y'all in the 06 Semi's, they played you off the face the park, were the better team in every area of the field. Their strikers finished with better finess, their old horses like Del Piero showed better quality than your young rising stars, they outpassed you, better effeciency, more possession, and on and on.

They don't just play defensive all the time.
