Nah, not on egregious stuff like that. It's a reason why instant replay is needed in the sport like most others are doing. That 'goal' was the result of a double offsides and double hand ball. Plus, I've little time for intentional fouls/cheating, and that certainly was the case there. The ball was going out, and he decided to double hand ball it to not only keep it from going out, but also to additionally curl it back to his foot where he could lob it past the keeper for the bogus goal.

I figured out why the Agerians are rioting, its because the French won and all those Algerian born French players will have to play for France at the WC next year!

Except the Steelers didn't cheat and reviews where done and the calls where upheld. There was no real problem with that game. I can't help if some people *cough cough coTravelerugh cough cough* are haters.

Well its God punishing O'sullivan then. The Steelers and PA did a little stealing to live up their name so God is now punishing the Irish. Only possible explanation.

Btw i don't deny the bit about being a hater...

Good way to end. But he can't rush with the ball as well as Henry by the looks of it!

Sure he is. And Maradona was one of the best soccer players of all time. Doesn't mean he didn't cheat...

Bettis was a class act sportsman, sir. You'll kindly not imply things about him or I'll have to push the limits of your pacifism

I'm an Eagles fan, and they've never won a Super Bowl. In recent years they have flubbed four NFC Championships and a Super Bowl to snatch defeat away from the jaws of victory. But I fault the Eagles there because they're just blue ballers and chokers.

The French team intentionally sought and successfully cheated that one, though, and the eventual goal was just one a few stunts they were attempting in the end to cheat a victory (fake falls looking for fouls for penalty kicks in the Irish penalty box) after playing like crap with Ireland dominating. But the goal they got was way above the norm for slick cheats.

The cheat Henry did himself plenty of reputation damage, though, e.g.

And the French government didn't do itself any favours insofar as class and sporting integrity in how it has handled the whole thing insofar as appeals by Ireland for a replay.

I'm not sayin Boyfran is a cheater, I'm just saying that him being an amazing player doesn't mean some questionable calls haven't gone the Steelers' way. Really I'm not talking about the Steelers in particular, I don't give too much of a shit, I'm talking about the NFL in general.

Does the instant replay help with bad calls? Definitely. Does it entirely mitigate the problem? Hell no.

Man, you won't believe this, but I didn't get to see that game. I haven't seen the past two SB's, due to work.

Ah my apologies, and i'm sorry you're an Eagles fan for that matter too!

I remember you went to one of their Turkey day games a couple years back - or maybe last year, just be grateful you're not doing it again.

The French team cheated that one, though, and that break was just one a few they were attempting in the end to cheat a victory (fake falls looking for fouls for penalty kicks in the Irish penalty box), etc. But the one they got was way above the norm for slick cheats.
Yeah, really bringing the game into disripute.

I think he will receive a lot of backlash. He advertizes razor blades in Europe for Gillette and they might well drop his sponsorship deal after this.

You should grow a beard in protest.

Though in fairness, at least Henry did call for a replay too.

And the French government didn't do itself any favours insofar as class and sporting integrity in how it has handled the whole thing insofar as appeals by Ireland for a replay.
Yeah threatenning the Irish government with sanctions was about the most aggressive thing they have done since Vietnam...see y'all are going about this all ass over tit.

Instead of requesting a replay, you should request that the French surrender the game and that you win by forfeiture, and that way - voila! You've qualified. They'll definately agree to those terms and conditions...
