NEVADA Politics.

Casinos donate so much that I don't have to pay state taxes though. I feel like I'm in a vice-grip. I don't pay state taxes, but the casino lobby is OH SO powerful.

Re: NEVADA Politics.

I just watched the Gubernatorial debates between Dina Titus and Jim Gibbons. It was one of the greatest debates ever! You wouldn't have to be a Nevadan to enjoy it. So much back and forth. Parry, counter, strike, thrust, REPEAT! Dina stumbled early on though when she referred to the UNR campus as UNLV, but she recovered nicely. Unfortunately it might alienate some Northern Nevadans. She should have played up the fact that Nevada has a constitutional requirement to balance the budget and how Jim Gibbons as a congressman hasn't balanced the budget at all, but still she did well. She's a fighter, unlike most Democratic politicians nowadays. I just can't bring myself to vote for a guy who tried to claim that the harmful effects of mercury are "overrated". I think this is an element so dangerous I could make any claim about how it could cause a non-organic, non-viral illness and it would still probably be true.
