Most, real, white Europeans don't have a problem with speaking more than one language.

This is true, but Americans see their country as "the great melting pot", where people from all over the world can come and become Americans. The melt down process brings about a bit of uniformity, part of which is the American version of the English language.

I can understand Americans' frustration over new immigrants who do not want to adjust to the common language of the Americans. However, especially when it comes to Spanish, I do not agree with it. Spanish existed in many parts of present day USA before English. It has not disappeared and come back, even though it has grew in importance, not least due to immigration, over the last decades.

Many European countries have official languages that are native to fewer people per capita than Spanish is in the USA.

I think it is a simple public policy issue. They would not have had those problems, if our federal congress had simply promoted and provided for the general Welfare of the United States.

Thats one of the reasons for America being so popular to settle down in for foreigners. As soon as you get the citizenship you are considered to be an American, and equal to the rest of the population. If a foreigner wants to settle down in Denmark or France on the other hand, then they will always be outsiders and looked upon as some sort of spicks.

I wouldnt imagine us adding another state in the near future, but if we were to it would probably be Puerto Rico, Guam, or U.S. Virgin Islands. All whom already vote in our presidential elections.

Puerto Rico, self governing with an association with the US, does not vote in US general elections.
Guam and USVI (non self governing territories) do not vote also.
