It may not have, but with the hundreds of millions in campaign contributions, the army of lobbyists in D.C. and the ever-present potential of politicians to want to do anything to be elected, the likelihood is not far-fetched at all.
Who knows, if the head of Diebold had kept his big mouth shut and the 2000 clincher hadn't been in the state Bush's brother headed, there may not have been such an outcry. There are always suspicions, but recent elections have surely fanned those flames to the point where we should worry about it.
So what? It's a primary, and not the presidential election. If Clinton or anyone else used fraud to gain the presidency, they should be nailed for it.
Personally, I suspect BOTH parties are equally capable of election fraud.

Nonesense, that has always been the case, and yet it simply doesn't happen.

Actually, it was democrats who demanded spending millions of dollars to put all those fancy electronic voting machines in after a bunch of democratic voters, in precincts and counties controlled by democrats managed to totally fuck up what is an otherwise eash low-tech punchcard system. Go figure!

What has fanned the flames wasn't the details of the recent elections, but the CLOSENESS of it, coupled with a small yet LOUD group of quite frankly paranoid people out there.

I bet if you were to cross reference people who believe in the following:

1. Illuminat global domination
2. Fort Knox is EMPTY with NO gold remaining it it
3. Kennedy Assasination Conspiracy Theories
4. Area 51 alien coverups
5. 9/11 an inside job by our government
6. Massive vote fraud and "stolen" elections in 2000 and 2004

You would find a statistically significant overlap in those groups.

Paranoid in your opinion. In light of the stories about lack of security and other defects in these machines, I will disagree. Legitimate concern doesn't equal paranoia.
Interesting, and it also has nothing to do with voting machines and election fraud.
