Like I said - There's not much a city can do to bring a president to justice when congress and the courts do nothing. So they use humor.

And you ask what would this accomplish? It shows the rest of the country and the world that one city won't stand by and watch Bush ruin our country without doing SOMETHING. And humor is what SF is using. Bush is a shitty president and deserves a shitty memorial.

I don't think SF cares about people who look down on them. It's the second best city in the USA IMHO, after NYC.

It makes the city look funny and clever and smart IMHO too. Because SF won't sit by and let Bush have a pass for all the harm he's caused. They will appropriately memorialize a crappy president.

If there are people who look down on SF for it's gays, it's humor, it's internet savy, it's beauty, it's war protesting history, and everything else SF is, they've never been there and they should get out more.

None of those people have had a hand in ruining our good name in the world, violating the constitution (habeas corpus, torture, illegal wiretaps etc...) the devalued dollar, the economic downturn, the HUGE record deficit and national debt getting us into a war for oil based on lies.

But it does............it identifies the people of San Fran for exactly what they are and paints an accurate picture of them for all to see. It's really no news to most of us though, we already knew "what up" in San Fran.

In my travels, the people there haven't been significantly different from the people in any other city of similar size.
