Not at all. I don't need a reward. In dealing with my share of Internet arguments, I am quite aware of how people argue. Especially when they make ludicrous claims, such as you did -- that a tax refund is not your money but money that you are being given from the government. They gradually try to distance themselves from their ludicrous claim or soften the argument. That's specifically why I started out this discussion by deliniating your view.

I invite anyone who thinks a tax refund is government money being given to a taxpayer to chime in.

    .

So slice A of funds raised by Taxation is my money, but slice B isn't, because?

Florida is saving money by not paying people benefits from funds generated by taxes (while spending more money in the process) just like I saved money by not by buying Porsche last week from the funds generated by labor.

The reason for the test is to dupe some folks into imaging a politician is doing something about a problem and saving them tax money, while nothing much is really getting done outside the steady assault on constitutional rights that the government at all levels just can't restrain itself from conducting.

Usually because somebody's brother-in-law has the lab contract, and is greasing State employees. Doctors and their lab tests are outrageous anyway.

I read somewhere that if we could get the profit and graft out of healthcare America could send every student to college for free! I believe it. $900 for an ER visit? Let's get real.

Here's a simple explanation of how this works: the money that you overpaid to the government is being returned to you, not "gifted" to you. You may continue to lengthen this discussion as long as you want, since all it does is show everyone how silly you are.

To summarize: JDJarvis thinks that a tax refund is government money that is being given to you, not your own money. I will continue to post this last sentence in my subsequent posts so that people understand what your contention is.

It's begin "returned" to me? Really, I don't have to beg for it back?

When they take the money from my employer before I even see it, it sure doesn't feel like my money.

To summarize: JDJarvis believes the government holds tax funds and forces people to jump through hoops to gain the benefits of that taxation and to regain funds for petty political reasons that have little to do with the efficiency and reduction of costs.
C-B-M thinks the government is a benevolent agent that is held to the same rules you and I are thanks to honest and forthright politicians. Gross invasions privacy and violations of the Constitution are meaningless if a politician smiles while it's happening.

Remember it's just a coincidence the governor of Florida confounded a business that runs clinics that do drug testing.

The druggies children still get the funds for food:
"Those who fail the required drug testing may designate another individual to receive the benefits on behalf of their children."

So food is still going to be purchased for those households, what's the state of Florida saving again?
