Concerns on Members photo pics

People who show themselves on net is a security risk.Police Officers ask people never give their real full name,Phone number Real Adress where they live and real photo of themselves on the net. They are a target of crime and Id Theft. Like Child preditors who target children by asking a photo of themselves and where they live and where to meet.Im concerned people who dont use comon sence and think before they give themselves out. Its great to meet other people but you dont know who youre dealing with on the internet. So Can the Admin make rules here people cant show a photo of themselves or discuss their exact location i think this should be a violation and be given a warning if you do so.

We're adults here. If we choose to discuss where we are, or to post pictures of ourselves, it's our business. It doesn't hurt the forum, nor does it place the forum at risk.

Shouldn't people be responsible for their own risk? Showing yourself in public has it's own risk also. Telling people your name or even using a credit card is a risk. At my restaurant I use a credit card program on the computer and I can go in a look at every credit card number that is used and when I was a teenager I could easily have gotten as many as I wanted when I worked at Taco Bell and Blockbuster Video. At Blockbuster I had access to the phone number, name, address, and in some cases credit card number of everybody with a membership. You probably take some risk that is as bad as posting information on this site without realizing it.

But theres no rule here you have to be over 18 years old to be here.Im concerned for the kids who are here. So we have to put the rules in place here because a child preditor could be here to lure the teen.I see how they work on Americans Most Wanted.Besides we dont have a police detective here to get the preditor. So it could be open season here for them.

It could be in theory but many bad things could happen in theory. This does not seem to be the case though. I could see that sort of thing on Myspace which is directed at youth but we are mostly adults here and this is really not a social site anyway. I guess we could regulate and restrict everything on the planet to keep everybody safe but when it comes down to it life is just risky and bad things will happen no matter how hard we try. I have been on this site going on three years now and I can't think of a single incident like this that has happened.

Steve.

A little less TV. A little more sunshine. There are no predators luring children here to exploit them. We have an excellent webstaff, and they would be on top of that in a heartbeat, never mind the excellent membership we have here.

John Walsh said everyday preditors are getting smarter and more clever ways to lure children. We should look every way possible to close more loopholes on preditors. Its like this if Police raid a crackhouse and a lot of drug dealers scatter and run away. Then theyre just find another crackhouse another neighborhood to operate in.

And John Walsh makes a fortune keeping people scared and watching his show. Anyway, I can't think of many people that have their picture on here really.

I see people buying groceries and paying for stuff at restaurants with credit cards and think to myself, "Dumb duh dumb duh duuuummmmmb."

I never said he is a bad guy. I just said he makes a lot of money keeping people scared. Do you have any examples of photos on the site that may be a problem?

And I'm sure that they're very afraid.

However, this is not the place to scare drug dealers or predators.

What is with this whole:

"They're just trying to keep people scared."

Statement ?

It's been said about this countries leaders about confronting terrorists (who have been regularly attacking the U.S. for YEARS).

Now we're gonna say it about a crimefighter like J.W. who has used the media to help US (the population) help catch nasty thugs, killers and kiddie molesters by using millions of our eyes to watch for them and we're going to say some shit like;

"They're just trying to keep us scared." ???

What in the bloody hell is the point of such a statement ? It's meaningless really. Isn't it ?

They want to keep us scared ?

Wouldn't it make more sense to say they want to keep us AWARE

Many of these shows make it seem as if the world is falling apart even though crime has actually gone down in recent years. The reason is that it makes for good ratings. I'm not trying to apply a conspiracy theory. I'm just saying that shows that shows that exaggerate problems do better.
