Any level of membership will allow you to use the search feature.

If you are a member it is in the task bar - "New Posts" - there is also a link on the same bar that says "search"

Re: membership and search function?

when i do quicklinks to new posts it says

"The search feature has been turned off at this time for non-contributing members due to server load. If it becomes possible to turn this on in the future for all members then we will do so.
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation"

So by any membership do you mean any paying membership?

Re: membership and search function?

I could not use the search until I became a contributing member. I got the same message that the above poster cited.
