Rule on asking for age

I had a member in my PM asking me about my age. Is this a TOS violation? This is exactly why i bought photos and other stuff shouldnt be on here. I had 13 year girls tried to pick up on me. And then i almost got in trouble for it. If asking for age isnt a TOS violation then i think it should be.

Have you ever heard of making conversation?

Yes but i think there should be limits on what your asking. Its ok to ask if youre married or single? or Are you working? Or What Job you do? But dont ask age or if youre gay or are you a lesbian. There should be limits on what your asking on personal info.

If you do not want people to know then don't tell them. Have you ever heard of personal responsibility?

No, it's not against TOS. Feel free to just ignore the request. If anyone sends you a PM requesting sex or detailing all the sexual acts they wish to do to you, then that would be a violation. With all due respect, knowing someone's age will sometimes aid the discussion. Knowing what generation a person comes from helps to further understanding.

Steve, have you ever considered starting your own forum? You seem to be full of ideas regarding rules and features. If you had your own forum you could operate as you see fit and load it with all the features you want. Just an idea.

Re: Rule on asking for age

But i tried. Its confusing how to set the board up yes im the admin but i dont know anything how to make the board work. And its not easy and simple to do. If i had a board it would be a political board along with a sports discussion board. And it would have only personal rules which you cannot ask on PM. But in my board would be almost anything goes! You can cuss use profanity or be racist if you want. But be aware otheres might not like you or agree with you. Kinda like on a board called
Unruly Politics That board people use all kinds of racist remarks as well hardcore profanity. But they cannot show any sex pics or nude pics. They can show fights and people killing.Thats the board i wanna create. But i just dont know how to do it. BTW you must be 18 years old to join my board

Re: Rule on asking for age

Just curious, how would you verify the age of people?

If you have any questions on how to set up a board just let me know and I will help the best I can. I know it can be daunting at first, but am always happy to help because I believe the more choices the better. A member here left and set up a board...we wish him the best. Everyone has their own ideas for how it should work. Good luck!

Re: Rule on asking for age

It's fairly easy to judge a person's generation (versus specific age) via their cultural references, and related posts, in my humble opinion.

The software company that made the graphics for this forum (the best in my opinion) aren't exactly modest with their charges, are they?

Re: Rule on asking for age

There should be a rule on asking for an age of an member.

On the other hand, no one has asked my for my age, but I make it public on message board and stuff.

Why should there be a rule? Are you and Steveox not able to tell someone that you don't want to disclose your ages? Geez!

No. Initial licenses costs $150-180? Don't remember exactly, but then annual renewals are only $30 I think. I like it so I have stuck with it.

I think if you were to be asked your age and refused if should the same person continiously pestered you about it then it may be an issue of harrassment or solicitation i guess. I think O'sullivan would be the best to answer the intricasies of this; to me common sense seems to dictate here and that it would take someone either not getting the message or someone with bad intentions to make this a very serious problem.
