Who would be the main writer? That probably would lead to the board taking on the image of the person that writes the blog. I think the site should seem neutral and welcoming to all different kinds of thought.

I have thought about this and would like to go this direction some once I have more time...my normal line.
 If I get into a PhD program it will wait 5-6 years...or perhaps this summer. As partofme stated I wouldn't want it to take on a single viewpoint. I envision more variety with articles from different viewpoints. Perhaps I would choose a subject and 3-4 people with different viewpoints could write on it with a possible single rebuttal for each. Brilliant idea Marc! Okay, get back to me this summer (June) and reference this thread.

I guess perhaps what I am describing is not a "blog" in the traditional sense, but really more like position articles. A free for all blog could cause problems with moderation as I would be liable for whatever content is posted. I don't want that and neither do you...so it is best to post a link to your personal blog(s).
Stats and stuff can be done quite easily and may be worked on this summer...again, remind me.

Is it summer yet? Heh...Maybe putting up the stats on a blog was unneccessary, maybe just on the front page of the site or in this forum? Maybe say more difficult SQL querries like a poster who has posted the most charachters or the person who has the most in each forum? Anyway like you said, summertime!

There are already some basic stats on the forum homepage (root domain). Anything beyond that probably won't happen for a while.

I've always been curious about starting a blog but I don't have time.
Maybe we could have serious and hard hitting guest bloggers participate. Maybe even politicians.
