Where is the search function?

I thought I saw it a few days ago, before I signed up, but now I don't see the search function at all.

Is it just me or is it unavailable for everyone?

Re: Where is the search function?

Works fine for me. Maybe they re-restricted it to contributing members?

Thanks Z, that did the trick.

I've been doing online forums since... well, since before the internet became the WWW and it's hard for me to operate without the SEARCH function as I don't want to duplicate topics.

I'm glad this site does use vBulletin, which I find to be about the best of the forum packages out there.

I'm really glad they don't use PHPBB, which has a totally moronic search function - you can search for keywords either (1) within the message body or (2) within the message body and the subject text - Totally flaming useless!!

Re: Where is the search function?

How long is the lag time in getting the search function? My old gold membership expired last week and I resubscribed Wednesday (IIRC) but still don't have the search function available Monday morning. If it's a manual process, I won't fault whomever for having a life, but it would be good to know 'within 7 days' or whatever.
