ahoy!

after the joining this fine site, i decided not to use the ignore feature, no matter how unhappy some of the posts made me. here be me reasoning;

thar be folks who might say our current commander and chief, mr. bush, has a whole lotta folks on his ignore list. i try to read the NYT op ed page...but when i have time, i also try and read the wall street journal's op ed pages too. i sometimes listen to rush in the afternoon's, if imma drivin' somehwere, but i also tune into NPR in the morning.

the great thing about uspol, 'least to me, is i get to hear both sides of many debates. i've had my mind changed more than once on issues after reading posts here...or at least looked into positions that were contrary to my own. even if there is someone posting things that i find sorta offensive, i don't i'd put anyone on ignore, because i don't want to be visiting a place where only folks agree with me own point 'o view.

i think folks who be way, way, way, way to the right or left sometimes lose me, because they are so militant in their views, but thats ok too, because i wanna be knowing what all folks think.

its good stuff mates, no ignore fer me.

yarRRRRRR!

Nope, not KKK at all, not in my book at least. You simply expressed your opinion ...

I do think though that you should be open to hearing everyone's views on things, not just those who live in the US. Especially considering that many of the topics being discussed on here are of a global nature ...

Well there are the likes of him who usually just say their usual stuff no matter what as if what you said had no effect on them, or as if they didn't read it in the first place, half the time like talking to a brick wall that just repeats itself over and over.

I say definately keep the ignore list, i can usually just brush off most posts i don't wanna read but there is one insessant foam mouthed rabid poster i just do not ever wanna read the posts of. Ever. Its enough just when people quote this poster, just 2 or 3 lines is enough to make you wanna throw up.

Never get rid of the feature.

No pal, that was humor. Not to your taste, clearly, but it takes all sorts. That's one of the advantages of a multi-cultural, multi-national site like this, it expands horizons.
I hope you are successful in your search for something narrower.
