Videos or links to them?
As a suggestion, if there is a viable link to a video, could folks please post the link rather than the video itself? Even with my fast server, pages where posts include videos are slow to load and navigate. I have to imagine that those who participate in and guests to the forum with slower servers find these posts frustrating. Allow the video servers to carry the load rather than the forum.

Hmm...the pages with video's load just as fast for me. I'm on the other side of this, i'd rather folk didn't link directly to video's as its impossible to tell before you click on the link whether its gonna start playing immedietly or not. Half the time i click on a link and there's loud sound coming out within a second or so and i'd rather be able to select when to play the video (and certainly some time to adjust the volume control so its not too loud) at my own convenience.

A browser is not supposed to preload the entire embedded object I think.

Didn't know about that, guess that settles that.
I've never personally linked to a video ever so either way it doesn't really affect the way i post.
