Any chance of 'search' and 'recent posts' features?

I suspect they're not there to try and screw money out of me (sorry, won't work!) but their absence makes the forums almost unusable. Which is a shame because there are good topics and good posters and the site zips along. Any chance of a change of management policy? Or would it hit you in the pocket with unacceptable force?

Thanks for confirming that. No, I'm not a contributing member (as I made clear in my OP). I'm asking if a change of management policy might be possible.

My understanding is that this site exists by virtue of the administration alone. It does not make a profit. In fact, any contributions this site recieves from contributing members and the little bit of advertising, still does not cover the cost of maintaining the site. The administration covers the difference out of their own pockets.

No one is here to screw anyone out of money.

If you like the quality of the site and appreciate the adherence to rules such that civil discourse is the norm, then contribute. You won't be sorry. If not, then enjoy!

The new posts link works fine - that's how I ran accross this thread. On all boards that use this software, I've never found the need to use search, except on one related to my hobby.

The only thing that'll entice me to pay is getting rid of the advertising.

When you first join, you're given the search and new post privileges for a trial period. Afterwards, you must be a contributing member to use it.

I thnk it's aboout $16 for the whole year. Go to the top of the page and click on "DONATE NOW!" to see the exact costs.

Oh, I thought it was circa 1966. Anyway, you can change that at the bottom of the main page. where it says "main", you get a dropdown menu of styles.

There's about 8 skins you can choose from i think. But some of them don't work for me so i dunno if they'll all be good for you.
