Re: View your warnings.

Why not:

As another well known forum does allow for searches and display of results by;

A. poster name.

B. Specific word or phrase.

(This feature can often lead to interesting results and "Connections" !)

Or maybe I just dont know how to use your system. Please advise.

e.g. In "word" one is able to locate and review many thousands of documents by using a remembered word or phrase without using a syllabusor code (Random Access at its best.)

Re: View your warnings.

Search functions are limited to contributing members. It puts a large amount of load on the servers, so it makes sense to limit the function to those who contribute financially.

I have no quarrel with that requirement and am getting set to open a pay pal account to contribute.

Hope your source for servers is moving toward "blade servers" for rapid expansion and back up. Limitless storage and ever faster access is the road to the future. ( already a comming event ) See the "Economist" magazine.

Mainly used for infractions that occur through private messaging.

Such as harassing another user through PMs or insulting a mod through PMs.

Can also be used for people that do not comply with requests to change their signatures or avatars, etc. This is pretty rare, though.

Okay.

There was something in the rules about unsolicited pms. How can one obey this rule and send a pm?

In my opinion, it would only be a problem after someone has said they don't want unsolicited PMs.

Can a Moderator confirm and explain this?

Unsolicited PMs are usually considered to be PMs that are spam (attempting to advertise a product or website) or PMs that are harassment (continually sending someone a PM after they've told you to stop).

Just sending someone a PM out of the blue isn't going to get you in any trouble.

Thank you.

Does one have to have a certain membership level to use the pm system or is it permissable to use upon registration?

The only topic off limits is discussion of moderator actions. For example, you can not say, "Crystal gave me a warning for..." and then carry on about how much I suck and how unfair I am. If you have any issue with moderator actions then VIA PM first take it up with the mod in question and then you may bring it to me or O'Sullivan Bere. I can't think of any other topics that are off limits.
