Plato.cc mail server configuration details

There was a thread about this which I started, however, it won't load, says broken link.

I formatted my computer today due to Windows' unstable nature, something corrupted my hard drive and my boot.ini was gone.

I am setting up Outlook Express and I need the details for the plato.cc server to work. All the SSL etc details are much appreciated!

If you're trying to pop emails off of a specific server, wouldn't you be better served contacting their administrative staff or a help-page? I'm not saying this to be snotty - I'm just not sure what anyone here will be able to tell you about the configuration of your email server, unless they have the same domain (or if this is some kind of public thing that I've just not heard of).

Also, FYI, losing boot.ini is not necessarily unrecoverable, though giving your machine a good format/re-install is probably a good thing. I'm going to be doing that at home with my own PC in the next few weeks.

plato.cc is the USPO email server for subscribers.

This would, however, have been better addressed via PM to Marc or Crystak or O'Sullivan Bere.

If that doesn't work (some mail clients have problems with it) then try username+plato.cc

The outgoing mail server does require authentication.
