Suggestion: The Onion News Network Category

I'm sure there are quite a few Onion fans here on USPOL and I was thinking that it would be fun to have a category dedicated to discussing Onion articles. We could debate the silliest issues with utmost seriousness. It would be great. What do you think?

We just link to the articles just like we do with real items, which are also copyrighted. What we discuss here would become a new property, protected under the first amendment.

We can certainly discuss their articles and quote excerpts. Posting an entire article would be bad though.

Not a bad idea, but that could already be done in the "Just for Fun" forum. Maybe a subsection called "Fake News" would be cool. People could link in fake stories like the Onion has .. or make up their own.

It would also be a place to which the Moderators could move bogus threads that masquerade as legitimate news posted in the other forums..

I was thinking a seperate forum in the Misc. section of the site. That way we could have threads for each without crowding out the Just For Fun stuff.

And I already have 4 or 5 fake news articles. It's one of my hobbies.
