User configurable edit time.
I would like to make a request for user configurable edit times for posts. It can be really convenient when I haven't edited my post sufficiently the first time, or the second time, or even the third time or subsequent times.
If that functionality is not available, I would like to request an increase in the amount of time to edit my posts. And, I would like to add, that I feel I have put the time in for that level of functionality. Thank you for your consideration of this request. Any comments or suggestions to this post are appreciated. |

Re: User configurable edit time.
Members are allowed 90 minutes to edit their posts, which is a very generous amount of time to read over your posts to figure out if you need to edit it or not.
There can be problems with members having longer times to edit their posts, including continuity of conversations. The time limit cannot be changed on a per usergroup basis. I can appreciate the fact that you have been here a while and have definitely made quite a few posts, however. Thanks for your posts. Let me know if you need further clarification.

Re: User configurable edit time.
I can appreciate making a type, but most people won't care about that. Some people go back and change their content, which is what can be confusing. The time limit allows enough time for editing, but then figures after a while you can just make a new post.
As I said, it is not configurable by usergroup. Thus, even getting a subscription will not make a difference for this feature. Only a mod or admin can edit a post after the time period has elapsed.
