Re: Anti-Spam

No need to close it - we'll just get rid of yet another digression that you caused.

Edit: Posts deleted. This is a thread requesting a consideration of general rules and not who violates any particular rules, posts what, or how. Please stick to the discussion of the rule idea, and not who does/would violate it or the discussion of other poster's posting styles.

Re: Anti-Spam

What i notice here is a painfully slow progression of outside opinions or membership status. I would not want to continually post to the same opinions/criticism that seems to permeates every new idea, there is no room for discussion if new ideas can't be applied

What you're seeing MAY be the beginnings of a forum that is dying out.

For a few different reasons.

There are plenty of other political forums people can go to to post their thoughts and opinions.

When membership at these forums changes little over time, people lose interest because everyone gets to know everyone elses opinions and ideas. Then personalities clash and people get in stupid, argumentative criticisms of one another for no reason.

Other than there's no new ideas/opinions and people to discuss and exchange ideas with.

People, in general, are losing interest in politics and politicians.

They're (politicians) all corrupt liars and people are sick of it. ALL of it. Getting on the internet and "blowing off steam" about it has its limits.

Just MY thoughts on it.

Re: Anti-Spam

I look forward to getting less spam on the forums.

Re: Anti-Spam

Three times dragging a thread off topic is ample warning, not to mention reposting the same thing with nothing more than a link to another off topic post. This thread has a clear direction of consideration of a rule for the staff and anyone attempting, for the fourth time, to derail it, will start to receive points. The purpose of this thread is discussion of this suggestion, not waxing philosophical about various posters or the fate of various internet forums.
