What I really wish.

It seems (in my opinion) that recently I have run across quite a few posts that are so idiotic that it is impossible to have any sort of discussion with the poster on the subject and in fact it would be a waste of time to try to speak logically with the poster because that person is obviously so bigoted they are incapable of accepting another opinion. In light of these observations I sincerely wish that every time I encounter one of these posts I could respond by quoting the poster and simply following it up with the following:

JACKASS!

I would agree with that observation, this is a debate forum not a discussion site. Most of the responses i see are aimed at personal beliefs rather than intelligent discussion and most don't even address the topic at hand. I see the same 30 or so posters who for lack of any other evidence seem to strive for discord rather than intelligent discourse. I see it as a detriment when out of close to 6 thousand members only 300 are active, there must have been some ideal to start with to even get that many involved then rudely cut them down for their views.
