Re: Blasphemy as a forum rule violation

What I find really odd, is the thread was started based on a post by a Muslim practically demanding that there be censorship based on his beliefs of what is blasphemous. Now, Ted has successfully turned the thread into something else.

Bravo.

Fundamentally, NOTHING from ANY religion should be forced down a free man's throat by official sanction.

Seriously, I would probably be able to hold on to at least a sliver of respect for you if you could now tell us what "evidence" there is that god exists, or if you'd simply man-up and admit that you have nothing.

Either way, just saying that there's proof accomplishes nothing, aside from making you look silly...

Alrighty; let's have it!
Cosmological, Quantum Physics, Prophecy, miraculous images/videos, testimonies, Archeology, foreknowlege in Bible.

Which interests you the most? Quantum physics Ill provide tomorrow its a bit more involved.

Yet you dismiss my assertion that Christians butchered non-Christians in the name of God out of hand?

For someone so dedicated to research, don't you think that that is a bit presumptuous?

I know enough to know that the reasons to explore the new world and settle, and the inevitable conflicts that occurred were primarily secular in nature and not religious.

Um, I hate to break this to you, but "prophecy" and "foreknowledge" is hardly considered evidence, and nobody with more than half a brain in their head would ever suggest it is.

That said, I can't wait to see the examples you'll provide for those.

Cosmological and quantum physics should be a real hoot.

As for "miraculous videos/images", well, you might be on to something. Because, you know, if the Virgin Mother is gonna' show up, she might as well show up at lunchtime:

I don't know maybe its the years of struggle to find the truth, there are some i know personally that will die never giving faith a chance, they argue so adamently and i believe so completely that i guess it becomes humorous.
Seriously i see this world coming to an end soon whether devine or mans manipulation, i am standing on the side of the truth i can see and in that i am comfortable. I am in the trenchs every day fighting in my son's world to make a difference and i am. I have fostered 7 other children along with my own and they are good people today, i am willing and humble but i do have a sense of humor that i guess only God lets me see.

I think a tad more research may be due.

So it's okay if christians butcher non-christians, as long as the reason for it has nothing to do with religion?

Holy fucking shit...
