Blasphemy as a forum rule violation

(Note - this post was moved into a new thread out of a closed thread in War and Peace, to discuss the concept of "xxxxxphobia" as a rule violation"

You finally figured it out - there is no rule violation here for "Islamophobia".

If you wish to champion the cause of Islam, you'll have to do it on a level ground here. People are free to question Islam as they please, just as they can question any other faith. The staff here are not going to enforce any religious dogma here - regardless of faith.

So you can either accept the fact that others here may not respect your religion, or you can go find some isolated forum where only pro-Islam comments are permitted.

Just as I would not allow someone to censor your expressions of belief, I will not assist you in censoring anything that offends the rules of your religion.

I know a few Muslims who are neither. Blanket statements like yours don't serve anyone well.

But you certainly have the right to state your beliefs.

Islam is very important to question. We should analyze the roots of the conflicts around the world. We have only looked for shallow understanding for the reasons of the war. but you can not solve it untill you understand in thoroughly and uncompromisingly. We should question Islam. And if your religion was worth its salt you should be able to defend it.

See, this sentiment is fine. Analyzing and questioning religion is a good thing to do in our modern society. However, your anti-Islamic vitriol and staunch support of Christianity as the "true religion" digress from this noble undertaking. Instead of really looking at the roots of Islam, you simply pick and choose from a small selection of verses and quotes and twist the religion into a hateful, violent creed, which is far from what Islam truly is. What's worse is that in the same sentence you manage to throw in that Christianity is the best. It's clear you have an agenda, and nobody can take any of your nonsense seriously.

I can understand why blasphemy wouldn't be banned, but this isn't blasphemy, it's simple trolling.

I'm sorta partial to Shinto, any religion that has deities like Inu-Yasha and Sailor Moon can't be all that bad. (no, they're not Shinto deities but they're modeled on them)

Well perhaps. But interestingly enough I happened to find God while arguing on these forums while back. While researching Islam I was comparing it to the Bible, because Islam claims to correct the corruptions of the religion.
So while it may appear to be trolling since I am clearly biased towards one religion. In all honesty this is the position I came up with after thorough research.

I believe the Bible predicts Islam. and the conflict we see today. Of course may seem irrational to you, but it is a position I hold.

No, it's because there are far too many idiots in that religion who would, given half a chance, use that religion to govern us. There are too many idiots in that religion who want to put prayer in schools. There are too many idiots in that religion who want a Constitutional ban against gay marriage. There are too many idiots in that religion who knock on my door at 8:00am on a Saturday wanting to discuss "the good book" (that happened two weeks ago).

Christians aren't happy unless they're able to impart their beliefs on others while, at the same time, insisting that no one else impart their beliefs on Christians.

I view them, and the way they conduct themselves, to be evil...
